After much waiting and endless rumors, Electronic Arts and DICE officially announced Battlefield 2042, which will arrive on PC and consoles on October 22. The official announcement by EA will take place tomorrow, June 9th. We may have one of these professionals per class in each squad, but they say they will not be out of balance. The leak also suggests that a beta version will be released later this month, following a closed testing session for big content creators and streamers. Teams will be able to choose one “ Pro ” per class, with one or two additional gadgets to enhance it (the post suggests a medic with healing darts that can heal from a distance). These sectors would contain multiple points and cannot be recovered. The leak suggests that 2042 will have " the largest maps in Battlefield history, " made up of "Sectors," each roughly the scale of a Battlefield 3 map.
Stemming from a leak on the Discord of the well-known leaker Tom Henderson, the next game developed by DICE and EA will be called Battlefield 2042, moving in between 1942 and the futuristic title of 2142 full of highlights, placing us in the near future.
